Listening Post Music Publishing Company was founded in 1996 to ensure that artist would receive a fair royalty for their songs – either through sales of recorded music or through radio airplay.

It is important to keep in mind that a significant portion of an artist’s income is generated by publishing. Publishing is not only paper copies of music (referred to as mechanical royalties in the music business) but importantly it includes royalties generated from sale of pre recorded music and airplay,

Being signed to a music publishing company is NOT the same as having your song copyrighted. Al songs should be copyrighted before submission to a music publishing company. Additionally, the songwriter should be affiliated with one of the major monitoring services such as BMI or ASCAP.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. If you would like to have your music published by Listening Post Music. Please send a copy of your CD to Bud Drago at 45 Collins Mill Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425 – 2217. Please include your e mail address. Make sure all songs are copyrighted before submission to Listening Post Music. We will not accept material that is not copyrighted. Please note, your CD will NOT be returned.
2. Bud and the A & R staff will review your CD within two weeks of receipt.
3. Upon completion of the review, Bud or a member of the Listening Post A & R staff will contact you with a decision.
4. Assuming a positive decision, details and timing will then be discussed.
